Eurostar Unwilling to Disclose Losses From Migrant Disruptions
PARIS (Sputnik) The movement of Eurostar trains between London and Paris was disrupted on Monday due to the theft of an electric cable on the high-speed line in France, the cross-channel train operator said.

"Trains will experience delays of up to 45 minutes today due to cable theft on the highspeed line in France," Eurostar said on Twitter.

Railway traffic between Britain and France has been repeatedly disrupted over the past two months as undocumented immigrants climb onto cargo trucks destined for Britain, sometimes resulting in the refugees' deaths.

In early September, five trains were halted on both sides of the English Channel tunnel, after several people were discovered on the tracks near the French city of Calais, where a large refugee camp is located.

According to the tunnel's train-operator, the Eurotunnel security service has intercepted 37,000 attempts by migrants to reach Britain from France since the beginning of the year.
