Refugees Clash With Police Trying to Break Though Cordons in Croatia
BELGRADE (Sputnik) — Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Drago Lovric has already taken the necessary steps to carry out the Croatian president’s order, the Hina news agency said.

Earlier in the day, hundreds of migrants broke through police cordons after waiting in a long line to take buses to transit centers at a checkpoint on the Croatian-Serbian border.

The closure of the Serbian-Hungarian border and the penalties introduced on Tuesday by the Hungarian government for border infringements have forced thousands of migrants from Serbia to reroute through Croatia and Slovenia, in their journey to wealthier EU states.
