EC President Juncker Unveils EU Migrant Quota to Resettle 160,000 Migrants
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Hungary is used as a gateway to richer EU states by hundreds of thousands of refugees, and the country is experiencing a large influx of undocumented immigrants.

According to a statement published on Wednesday, funds spent to provide refugees in reception centers with food, water and other essentials were taken from a 3.1-billion-forint fund provided by the government to ease the crisis.

The statement added that the care for refugees in the centers was adequate and there was no shortage of needed supplies despite criticism from several human rights groups.

Budapest estimates that over 170,000 migrants have entered the country since the beginning of 2015.
