MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The death toll after Monday's clashes outside the Ukrainian parliament has climbed to two, the country's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said Tuesday.

"Another National Guard member has died in the hospital from wounds after yesterday's grenade explosion," Avakov wrote on Twitter.

On Monday, the minister stated that the explosive devices that injured nearly 100 National Guard servicemen outside the parliament were thrown by apparent supporters of the nationalist Svoboda party.
