Böhm stated that Salve TV has never been as popular among viewers during the ten years of its existence.
“Our channel has never received so much positive feedback from viewers as over this short period of time,” he said in interview with the German media platform Journalist Online.
Böhm explained that he had watched RT for a longer period of time before visiting its German office in Berlin and offering its editors the opportunity to broadcast one of their programs.
However, criticism arose in Germany regarding the broadcasting of the RT program "Missing Part," which was viewed by some people as an instrument of Russian propaganda.
Böhm said that such allegations were unjustified and argued that the broadcasting of the program contributed to the diversity of the German media landscape. The local media control body also stated that the channel did not violate any legal provisions and that there was no reason to impose any penalties.
“I believe that our viewers are very well able to form their opinion by themselves. They know well enough what is right and what is wrong, and what an opinion from the Russian perspective means,” Böhm argued.
The shareholder also added that many Thuringian companies have been affected by Anti-Russian sanctions and that the program is contributing to a peaceful discussion of the current political situation, in order to help people learn more about Russia and its perspective.
