Azerbaijan’s air defense forces shot down two Armenian drones which were on a reconnaissance mission over the Azerbaijani armed forces position, the Defense Ministry said in Baku on Friday.

The drones were shot down in the Agdam district of Azerbaijan on the border with Nagorno-Karabakh, which is the subject of an unresolved dispute between Azerbaijan and neighboring Armenia.

Krunk-25 UAVs are equipped with cameras and operated from the ground.

The maximum altitude of such devices is 5,400 meters, they weight 60 kg, they are 2.95 meters in length, the wingspan is 4.2 meters, and they fly at  150 km per hour. Their maximum flight duration is five hours.

This year the Azerbaijani military has reportedly shot down three Armenian drones over various sections of the border.
