Detectives received information about a top UK Labour lawmaker on alleged child sex abuse cases over the stretch of 10 years.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A top UK Labour lawmaker has been accused of pedophilia after two parliamentarians contacted police to notify them of the sensitive information, The Sun reported.

Detectives are said to have received information on alleged child sex abuse cases over the stretch of 10 years.

"I was told that as far back as ten years ago, he was having young boys delivered to a hotel just a few hundred yards from a local police headquarters. But some of the cases were as recent as 18 months ago," one of the two lawmakers was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

According to the lawmaker, police officers took all the details he could provide but did not say what was going to happen to the person accused of the sex crimes.

These allegations come on the heels of a series of accusations of senior Westminster politicians, suspected of child sex abuse crimes.

In December 2014, it was reported that a parliamentarian handed to police a list of 22 names allegedly involved in child sex abuse.
