    Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that Kiev “needs to pay maximum attention to the process of de-escalation in the east and coordinating the pro-Ukrainian coalition with its partners.”

    KIEV (Sputnik) – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has announced plans to hold immediate talks by telephone in the Normandy format over the situation in eastern Ukraine.

    “I was just told that immediate talks in the Normandy format are planned by telephone,” Poroshenko said after a meeting with law enforcers in the Dnepropetrovsk region.

    He added that Kiev “needs to pay maximum attention to the process of de-escalation in the east and coordinating the pro-Ukrainian coalition with its partners.”
