UFA (Sputnik) — The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA) is engulfed in propaganda instead of actual work after accepting an anti-Russian resolution, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday.
"During our absence, the OSCE PA has become engulfed in propaganda instead of actual work," Lavrov said during a press conference in the Russian city of Ufa.
On Wednesday, the OSCE Parliament Assembly passed a resolution initiated by Canada and Ukraine that condemned Russia's alleged involvement in the Ukrainian conflict.
The resolution was adopted by 96 to 7 votes, with 32 abstentions, including Switzerland, Armenia and France.
The Russian delegation is not participating in the OSCE PA session in Helsinki, Finland, as several delegates were denied entry visas. Russian State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin is among those not allowed into the country. The rest of the Russian delegation withdrew from participation in the session in protest.
