BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — French President Francois Hollande has canceled his meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, scheduled to take place in Brussels later on Friday, over a reported terrorist attack in France’s southeast, La Premier radio reported.
"In view of the terrorist attack the meeting has been annulled," the radio reported.
The attack on US-owned Air Products factory in the French town of Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, which left one person dead and several injured, occurred at about 10:00 a.m. local time (08:00 GMT). Two individuals reportedly caused an explosion by striking tanks containing gas.
Investigators found a decapitated body and an Islamist flag at the scene of the incident. A man's head is said to have been recovered nearby, allegedly covered with Arabic inscriptions.
