BERLIN (Sputnik) – The crisis in Ukraine’s eastern Donbass region is still a real issue, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said Tuesday, calling on both sides of the conflict to work toward its resolution.
“The agreed ceasefire is violated every day, even more than a few weeks ago. The severe crisis in eastern Ukraine is far from over,” Steinmeier said in a statement.
“All conflicting parties must make an effort to prevent the military escalation from reaching a level where the situation spirals out of control, militarily and then politically,” the minister added.
