Lithuania will continue supplying arms to Kiev, the Baltic state’s ambassador in the Ukrainian capital said on Saturday.

“The Lithuanian authorities have the political will for the supply of weapons to Ukraine,” ambassador Marius Janukonis told Ukraine’s Channel 5 television.

“Some steps in this direction have already been made and we will continue doing this, including arms deliveries to Ukraine… I see no reason why we should not be doing this,” he added.

Lithuania started supplying weapons to the Kiev government several months ago.
