KIEV (Sputnik) According to the statement, presidential adviser Olha Bohomolets has visited NATO headquarters in Brussels to attend the first session of a Coordination Council that would oversee joint NATO-Ukrainian medical projects.

"The session has considered the project of the NATO Trust Fund’s proposals regarding practical cooperation with Ukraine submitted by the NSPA [NATO Support and Procurement Agency]," the statement said.

The project was designed to facilitate quick access to medical help and boost long-term medical services provided to the Ukrainian military, as well as bolstering medical rehabilitation in the country.

The Ukrainian military is currently involved in an armed conflict with the self-proclaimed independent republics of Luhansk and Donetsk in the country’s east.
