Ukrainian MP Provokes Brawl in the Verkhovna Rada

The brawl took place Thursday after the leader of the Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko called to remove parliamentary immunity from a member of the "Opposition Bloc" Sergey Dunayev. Earlier, Dunayev criticized the Ukrainian government and called Donbass militias “heroes”.

A squabble started in the Ukrainian parliament on Thursday after the leader of the Ukrainian Radical Party of Oleh Lyashko called to deprive member of the "Opposition Bloc" Sergey Dunayev of parliamentary immunity, accusing him of high treason, the Ukrainian TSN TV channel reported.

Sergey Dunayev, in turn, denied Lyashko’s accusations.

According to TSN, deputies from both factions leaped from their seats and began an active and emotional discussion.

Earlier, Dunayev called Donbass militias “heroes”.

“Yes, they are heroes, because every day they look into the face of death. But what is pushing them to heroism, are the need, despair and irresponsibility of politicians. Our government has, unfortunately, become an indispensable adjunct of the International Monetary Fund, and is leading the country to the destruction of the real economic sector", he said during a rally in the city of Lisichansk.

Dunayev also criticized the Ukrainian government for its cynical and inhuman attitude to the veterans of World War II, saying that all of them were deprived of financial benefits despite the 70th anniversary of the victory.
