Spain's Airbus military aircraft division successfully conducted a test flight of its test A400M plane Tuesday, three days after the company's plane crashed in the Spanish city of Seville, company's officials said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — During the test flight, the plane left Toulouse, France and landed safely in Seville, the EFE news agency reported citing company's officials.

Just hours before the test plane performed its flight, Spanish authorities announced temporary withdrawal of their permission for test flights of Airbus A400M planes. However, the aircraft that flew from France to Spain was not affected by the ban as it was a test plane not commissioned for any deliveries.

The head of Airbus Espana, Fernando Alonso, served as test engineer during the flight.

On May 9, a military cargo plane Airbus A400M crashed on its maiden test flight shortly after takeoff. There were six people on board, four of whom were killed, with two seriously injured. The air forces of Germany and the United Kingdom grounded their A400M planes due to the crash.

The following day, two cockpit recorders of the aircraft were found. The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
