Turkish Airliner Makes Emergency Landing Over Bomb Scare
TALLINN (Sputnik) – Estonian Air's aircraft, en route from Brussels, made an emergency landing in Estonian capital Tallinn, Eesti Televisioon reported Monday.

"Estonian rescuers received information about the plane having technical problems. According to the preliminary data, the emergency was caused by a potential technical malfunction that could have resulted in longer stopping distance and, hence, the plane could have gone beyond the runway," the channel said.

The aircraft, carrying 66 people on board, landed safely. Rescue teams and ambulances are said to have arrived to the Tallinn airport to provide aid if needed.

Several flights from Frankfurt, Riga and Trondheim were delayed because of the emergency. Once the emergency situation was resolved, the delayed aircraft landed successfully.

Estonian Air, founded in 1991, is based in Tallinn Airport. According to the company's website, it carries more than 800,000 annually.
