The Islamic world faces the risk of disintegration amid sectarian tensions.

The Islamic world faces the risk of disintegration amid sectarian tensions, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said.

The risks are due to the current conflicts in Yemen between the Sunni and Shiite Muslims. Erdogan said international organizations including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should show they are earnest about stopping the violence in crises zones like Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Syria and Yemen.
