MOSCOW (Sputnik), Alexander Mosesov — Danish citizens should live in peace alongside each other regardless of their religious views, organizer of the Copenhagen synagogue peace ring, Niddal El-Jabri, told Sputnik on Thursday.
On Saturday, hundreds of people are expected to form a ring of peace around a Jewish synagogue in the city of Copenhagen to show compassion for the victims of the February terror attacks that took place in the city.
"Whether you are a Muslim, a Jew, a Christian or a non-believer, we should all agree that we want to live in peace in this society," El-Jabri told Sputnik.
"When the attack occurred it became very real to me what Jews have to live through every day," El-Jabri said, speaking about the reasons why he decided to organize the peace ring.
The activist concluded that Danes have "too great of a country to be making threats towards each other."
Denmark's capital saw two terror attacks in February, as an Islamist gunman opened fire at a free speech seminar and then at a synagogue, killing two civilians.
