Last night, the offices of a local Swedish newspaper were hastily evacuated after an anonymous bomb threat, Södermanlands Nyheter reports.
The bomb threat arrived by email at 9:30 p.m. local time and stated that a terrorist attack was planned against the offices of Nyköping newspaper.
The email had demands on the newspaper’s reporting on the bombing that took place last week. Allegedly, the email warned that if the demands were not met, the newspaper would be bombed, according to the Södermanlands Nyheter.
The police bomb squad arrived around 2 a.m. Sunday morning and secured the building. After a three hour search, the police reported that nothing was found in the building.
“But we are going to continue surveillance of the building until further notice,” said a police representative.
