London Underground Workers to Hold Second Strike Over Alcohol Dismissal
MOSCOW (Sputnik) According to The Connexion newspaper, it is the second strike at the French television channel in some 30 years. All but one trade union representing the workers are said to be backing the strike.

The protesters are expected to speak against deteriorating working conditions and shrinking staff, which increases the workload of those who stay.

The previous strike at the 35-year-old television channel took place in 2003.

According to the newspaper, Canal+ currently employs 3,500 people.

Canal+ is owned by the Canal+ group, whose parent company is French multinational media company Vivendi.
