    According to deputy commander of the militia in the eastern Ukrainian self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, approximately 3,000 Ukrainian troops remain surrounded in the area of Debaltseve.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik)  Approximately 3,000 Ukrainian troops remain surrounded in the area of Debaltseve, the deputy commander of the militia in the eastern Ukrainian self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic said Wednesday.

    “We believe that there are around 3,000 [troops] from various Ukrainian military units,” Eduard Basurin said during an interview on Russia’s Rossiya-24 television in regard to a question of the number of Ukrainian military personnel who are surrounded in the area of Debaltseve.
