Heavy Artillery Withdrawal in Donbas Should Be Completed Within Two Weeks
MOSCOW, February 12 (Sputnik) — Russia will continue its work aimed at settling the Ukrainian crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Thursday.

“Russia will continue its active participation in the efforts to reach Ukrainian crisis settlement: prompt ceasefire, withdrawal of heavy artillery, solving of humanitarian problems, arrangement of a sustained political dialogue between Kiev and Donbas,” Lavrov said during the Diplomatic Worker's Day celebration.

Russia has repeatedly urged parties to the conflict in Ukraine to seek a peaceful solution to the crisis, and was involved in various intergovernmental negotiations to help solve the crisis in the country.

On Tuesday, a representative from Russia took part in a Contact Group meeting, comprising representatives from Kiev, the self-proclaimed people's republics of Donetsk and Luhansk (DPR and LPR) and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
