A high school teacher was arrested in Paris for possessing thousands of photos and videos of child pornography, French Le Figaro reports.
The information about the man was given to the French authorities by their German counterparts, after the Germans tracked down an IP-address from where a large amount of child pornography was being downloaded, the French source says.
The man is a 28-year old technology teacher at one of Paris' high schools. When other teachers at the school were told how their colleague spent his time surfing the Internet, they were left “stunned”, L’Express reports.
The man was already known to the police. In 2004, he was suspected of a statutory rape, but was never convicted, according to L’Express.
