According to the agency, Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire no less than five times. Three local residents were reportedly killed as a car was blown up near the small town of Komsomolske some 50 km (30 miles) south of Donetsk.
Meanwhile, National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko stated that three soldiers had been wounded in Donbas during the past day.
Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Donbas established people’s republics that later declared their independence following the February overthrow of then-president Viktor Yanukovych.
Kiev and Donbas militia reached a ceasefire deal during negotiations in Minsk in September, brokered by Russia and the OSCE. However, both sides have subsequently accused each other of violating the truce.
