Russia's tenth humanitarian convoy which consisted of more that 90 trucks, has returned to the Rostov Region, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

MOSCOW, December 21 (Sputnik) — Russia's tenth humanitarian convoy, that delivered humanitarian aid to Donetsk, has returned to the Rostov Region, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said Sunday.

"All trucks, of which there are more than 90, from Donetsk have crossed the Russian border into the Rostov Region. They all have returned unloaded," the ministry said.

The trucks were inspected at the border by the customs officers and border guards. The procedure was carried out in the presence of the Ukrainian customs officers and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) representatives.

The trucks with the humanitarian aid to Donetsk finished unloading after 6 p.m. Moscow time (15:00 GMT), while reports suggested that the trucks in Luhansk were still unloading at the time.

Overall, the tenth humanitarian convoy delivered more than 1,400 tons of humanitarian aid to Donetsk and Luhansk on Sunday.

In light of the dire humanitarian situation in both regions, that followed the start of the confrontation with the Kiev forces, Russia has been sending humanitarian aid to the regions since August.
