On Tuesday, Pakistani Taliban militants attacked an army-run public school in the city of Peshawar, northwestern Pakistan, killing more than 140 people, most of them children. UK prime minister referred to the news from Pakistan as "deeply shocking."

LONDON, December 17 (Sputnik) — The United Kingdom is studying the ways it could help Islamabad in its struggle against terrorism, UK Prime Minister David Cameron said Wednesday.

"We believe that the Pakistan government must confront terrorism in all of its forms. And it is taking steps to do that. And I think today is the day when we should really redouble our support [to the Pakistani government] and our efforts and the whole world should do the same," Cameron told parliament, adding that currently British experts are discussing what the UK can do to help Islamabad effectively combat terrorism.

Death Toll in Pakistan School Attack Rises to at Least 141
On Tuesday, Pakistani Taliban militants attacked an army-run public school in the city of Peshawar, northwestern Pakistan, killing more than 140 people, most of them children.

The UK prime minister referred to the news from Pakistan as "deeply shocking."

"It's horrifying that children are being killed simply for going to school," Cameron said on his official Twitter account.

The act of violence was also condemned by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon and world leaders.
