"Russia's Emergencies Ministry started to form the 10th convoy which will deliver humanitarian aid to the Donetsk and Luhansk Regions. Trucks loaded with humanitarian aid are leaving the Ural, Volga, North-Western, Southern and Central federal districts for Rostov Region, where the convoy will be formed," Drobyshevsky said.
According to the spokesperson, the convoy will be formed within several days and will leave "as soon as it is ready." The trucks will be carrying food, construction materials and New Year presents, he added.
Both Donetsk and Luhansk regions are dealing with a humanitarian crisis due to the military operation launched by Kiev authorities in April. Since August, Russia has sent nine humanitarian convoys to Ukraine, delivering more than 11,000 tons of aid, mainly consisting of food, water, health care products, power generators and construction materials.
