An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale struck off the Indonesia coast on Wednesday, the US Geological Survey reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The earthquake occurred at 00:26 GMT on Wednesday at a depth of 614 kilometers (about 382 miles), 156 kilometers (about 97 miles) north of Indramayu, the capital of the regency of West Java, Indonesia, according to the USGS.

No information on casualties or damage from the quake has been provided yet.
