The Unmovables
17:58 GMT 26.10.2017 (Updated: 18:06 GMT 26.10.2017) NATO has been facing considerable logistics drawbacks in Europe, and in the event of war the bloc's actions may be impeded by the insufficiently developed transport infrastructure, according to Germany's Der Spiegel citing a classified military report.
However, one thing is for sure: NATO has been beefing up its presence along the Russian border on the pretext of a threat. A high-ranking Russian official has said that Moscow would undoubtedly react by boosting its own forces in the western direction, but emphasized that the country "is not initiating the creation of new armed groups." Meanwhile, on Thursday, Russia's presidential envoy for Afghanistan said Moscow is yet to receive a response from NATO concerning some "helicopters without identification marks" spotted in the war-torn state.
