US President Donald Trump revealed Tuesday that the US defense spending increase could be even more than $54 billion he had announced earlier.

According to Trump, his administration could seek to allocate $30 billion more to the defense budget, which would mean raising it by $86 billion.

On Monday, an Office of Management and Budget (OMB) official announced that Trump's budget proposal would boost military and security spending by $54 billion with a corresponding reduction in other discretionary spending.
