Fox News host Bill O'Reilly has refused to apologize to Russian President Vladimir Putin after calling him a "killer" during an interview with US President Donald Trump.

Smug and unrepentant, O'Reilly sarcastically declared that it may take him some time to work on an apology to the Russian leader and advised to "check in" with him on 2023.

Moscow however appeared unfazed by O'Reilly's remark as Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov calmly promised to take the commentator at his word and have a chat with him in six years' time.
