06:18 GMT 19.12.2016 (Updated: 06:19 GMT 19.12.2016) China's GDP growth in 2016 will reach 6.7 percent, while the next year it is expected to slightly decrease and amount to 6.5 percent, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences said in a report issued on Monday.
BEIJING (Sputnik) — According to its Blue Book on the economy, in the first and second quarter of 2017 the Chinese economy will grow by 6.5 percent, while in the second half of the year the growth will average 6.4 percent.
In January, China reported its 2015 GDP increase to be the lowest in over 20 years, at 6.9 percent against 7.3 in 2014.
