SIMFEROPOL (Sputnik) — Earlier in December, an official Russian delegation, including several Russia's lawmakers from Crimea, visited the Gulf nation.
"They have been interested in a wide range of areas. They are agriculture, tourism and construction. There is a proposal to develop a joint fishing enterprise. There is even a list of companies, which are ready to buy our agricultural products. They have given it to us and the issue is being worked out now," Olga Kovitidi, who was a member of the delegation, said during a press conference at the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency's press office in Crimea.
Russia's historical region of Crimea rejoined the country after a 2014 referendum. Almost 97 percent of the region's population voted for reunification in a referendum. Sevastopol, which has a federal city status, supported the move by 95.6 percent of votes.
