LIMA (Sputnik) — He added that Lagarde said the organization should be changed.

"Lagarde's said that she was very skeptical about the WTO. She said that the WTO should reconsider itself, should… achieve results," Voskresensky told reporters after Lagarde's meeting with APEC's economic leaders in the Peruvian capital of Lima.

Earlier in the day, Lagarde met with the leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies in Peru.

Peru has been hosting APEC's all-year-round meetings that culminated with the economic leaders' summit in its capital city of Lima, which started on Saturday. During the summit, the leaders of the 21 APEC states are expected to work out a strategic vision and guidelines for economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region for 2017.
