Putin, Obama Could Meet at APEC Summit in Peru
LIMA (Sputnik) — Peru has been hosting APEC's all-year-round meetings that will culminate with the economic leaders' summit in its capital city of Lima on November 19-20. Putin is expected to arrive to the Peruvian capital of Lima on the first day of the summit.

"There is some interest between our countries in fishery and some other industries, but it's still at the very initial stages. But I hope that now, that the Russian president is coming to Peru, he will see new opportunities to develop investment here," Marchesi said.

Russia has formalized the relations of strategic partnership with a number of Latin American states, including Peru. The bilateral relations have been developing in various areas, including trade, economy, science, as well as humanitarian, military and technical cooperation, since Moscow established diplomatic relations with Lima on February 1, 1969.
