MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia and Japan are working out options for construction of an energy bridge, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov told reporters on Thursday.
"The elaboration of options for construction of a Russia-Japan energy bridge is underway, there are good prospects in the sector of peaceful nuclear energy," Ushakov said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe may discuss the issue of signing a peace treaty and expansion of cooperation on the Kuril islands during their meeting on November 19, Ushakov added.
“Naturally, the agenda of the upcoming talks in Japan will be discussed during the Lima meeting. And, possibly, the issue of the peace treaty and expansion of Russia-Japan cooperation on the Kuril Islands will be touched upon,” Ushakov said.
