Russia, Egypt Could Sign Dabaa Nuclear Plant Construction Deal in December

“If the agreement is signed till the end of the year, the first group of trainees will be sent [to Russia] next April,” Hamza told RIA Novosti.

Earlier on Monday, Egyptian Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker said that Egypt was going to train 1,711 specialists in the nuclear sphere.

Russia and Egypt signed an intergovernmental agreement on the construction of the Dabaa NPP on the Mediterranean Sea coast in November 2015. It is set to become the largest construction project carried out by Russia and Egypt since the Aswan Dam built across the Nile.
