Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has proposed to propel the economic cooperation with Israel to the next level, in particular, to pay special attention to cooperation in the spheres of agriculture and innovations.

JERUSALEM (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Medvedev held a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to Medvedev, the sides discussed mainly the prospects of the bilateral economic cooperation, and agriculture could become a promising sphere.

"Russia has unique conditions for development of agriculture and Israel has perfect technologies. If we jointly use these resources, we can reach excellent results," Medvedev said after the meeting.

According to the prime minister, innovations could become another perspective area of cooperation with Israel.

"Though, it should not be just an exchange of ideas… We need to make these ideas allow us to earn money," the prime minister added.

Medvedev also noted that the two countries had reached good results in tourism cooperation.
