MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The meeting, being hosted in the Swiss Alpine town of Interlaken jointly by the Canton of Bern and the China Federation of Industrial Economics, will gather over 300 Chinese business leaders and their counterparts from other countries who will focus on joint economic development and business opportunities, according to the organizers.
Horasis, which holds developing countries business leaders' meetings with a focus on China, Russia, India and the Middle East, has been organizing China Meetings annually since 2005. The 2015 meeting was held in Portugal and dealt with China's investment in the country, the role of European business in China's economy, the One Belt, One Road initiative and the recent turbulence in the Chinese economy.
This year's event will be co-chaired by over a dozen prominent Chinese, European, Swiss and US business executives.
The meeting will address China's rise to global economic leadership as well as the outcome of the free trade agreement signed by China and Switzerland in 2013 during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's visit.
