MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov said Wednesday that economic improvements in the country are linked to sound fiscal policy.
"All the previous colleagues spoke about successes. All these achievements are related to fiscal policy, the budget," Siluanov said at the Russia Calling financial forum.
As an example, the minister cited timely budget consolidation without inflating costs or injecting money into the economy as the main factors that led to reduced inflation from 17.6 percent to 5.7-5.8 percent this year.
