Russia's Gazprom energy company CEO Alexey Miller said Tuesday he planned to meet Ben van Beurden, his counterpart at the Shell oil and gas company to discuss the Baltic LNG plant project.

ST. PETERSBURG (Sputnik) — Gazprom and the Royal Dutch Shell oil company signed a memorandum of understanding on the Baltic LNG project at the June 16 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

"Ben an I will discuss this project as well today," Miller told reporters at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

The project is expected to be implemented by the end of 2021.
