Oil Production in Russia in 2017 May Increase by 3%
ALGIERS (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that Russia had not yet made a decision on participation in the meeting.

"No, it will not, because this is an informal meeting," he said when answering the question whether Russia will participate in the OPEC meeting that is due to take place on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 15th International Energy Forum (IEF15).

The three-day IEF that kicked off on Monday is focused on the challenges for the energy industry, prospects of renewable resources and energy governance. The forum gathered ministers, senior officials, international organizations and experts from 72 countries.

OPEC member states and possibly non-OPEC oil producers are expected to discuss plans and measures to reverse the drop in global oil prices amid ongoing overproduction at the meeting.
