Russian state nuclear agency Rosatom and Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC) have signed a memorandum of understanding on education and training of human resources in the field of nuclear energy and other related areas in Vienna on Tuesday.

VIENNA (Sputnik) — The memorandum was signed by Rosatom CEO Sergei Kirienko and JAEC chairman Khaled Toukan on the sidelines of the IAEA 60th General Conference in Vienna.

Russia won a contract to build a nuclear power plant in northern Jordan in 2013. An inter-governmental agreement on cooperation was signed in March 2015. Rosatom is expected to build two 1,000-megawatt (MW) nuclear power units by 2022.
