VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) — Russia does not want the Eurozone to fall as the country keeps significant reserves in euros, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Yes, I hope so, because we, first and foremost, believe in the fundamentals of European economy," Putin said in an interview with Bloomberg, asked whether he thought the euro would survive.
The president noted that Russia keeps around 40 percent of its currency reserves in euros and praised Western European leaders' "very pragmatic approach" to solving economic issues.
