The next session of the Russia-Turkey intergovernmental trade commission will take place in autumn, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday.

ST PETERSBURG (Sputnik) – Earlier in the day, Putin met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who arrived in St. Petersburg for first talks to reset bilateral relations after the November 2015 downing of a Russian aircraft by Turkey.

"We have agreed with Mr President to systematically renew the work of the main mechanisms of interaction. A session of the mixed intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation is scheduled for autumn," Putin told a press conference after the talks.
