MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Its subsidiary Sakhalinmorneftegaz employed a range of advanced techniques, including real-time mapping of headers, optimizing the drilling process and minimizing risks, the producer stressed.

“The construction of the well under the seabed at the depth of 5,202 meters [3.2 miles] at extended reach drilling [ERD] has been done ahead of schedule,” Rosneft said.

Two additional horizontal wells are planned to be drilled at Lebedinsky with the use of Sakhalinmorneftegaz’s infrastructure.
