"I am sure that if one or two delegations visit Sudan, it would attract a large number of Russian tourists to Sudan," the minister said.
A Sudanese delegation is taking part in the Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT) for the first time. The exhibition, which opens the 2016 tourist season in Russia, is taking place between March 23-26.
Mustafa also urged Russian investors to invest in Sudan's tourist industry, stating that there are ample possibilities in the country, included diving vacations in the Red Sea.
MITT-2016 is Russia's largest tourism exhibition, with over 1,850 companies and tour operators from 192 countries taking part. Delegations from Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan, Lebanon and Jordan are exhibiting at the event.
