Gazprom continues to work with foreign partners on the implementation of new gas supply projects to Europe, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian energy giant continues to work with European partners on the implementation of new gas supply projects to Europe, including the one via the Black Sea, but their future depends on the the European Commission, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.

"Of course, after all, long-term pipeline contracts have no rivals in terms of reliability. Therefore, the Russian side, I am referring to Gazprom, continues its work in this area," he said citing recent talks on the gas delivery via the Black Sea in Italy with participation of the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller.

"Such projects are being worked out, discussed with the potential partners, but then again everything in the end will depend on the predictability and constructiveness of the European Commission's stance. Naturally, no such projects can be imposed. If interest is demonstrated, it will be met with the mutual intentions of the Russian side," Peskov added.
