Russia Will Not Request West to Lift Sanctions - PM Medvedev
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – US sanctions have had an influence on cooperation between Moscow and Islamabad on the construction of the North-South gas pipeline, Russian Special Presidential Envoy on Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov said.

“This is quite a large-scale project for Pakistan with a cost of around $2 billion. A subdivision of Rostech, Global Resources, is representing us. But as soon as the agreement was signed, it immediately fell under US sanctions, which has made work difficult. This is what you call unfair competition and shows the manner of the behavior of the Americans who inexcusably may obstruct [the deal],” Kabulov told RIA Novosti in an interview.
