    The Russian Energy Ministry has not received any official notification from Ukraine, that it intends to terminate the purchase of electricity, the ministry's press service told RIA Novosti Monday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Ukraine is currently importing electricity from Russia.

    "There was no official notification from Ukraine on the termination of purchase of Russian electricity. The schedule of electricity supply from the Russia's Unified power system (UPS) to the Ukraine is agreed till November 2015 inclusively…," the press service said.

    Earlier this month, Ukrainian Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said that Ukraine would halt its Russian gas purchases from November 11.
